It is a summer filled with challenging, yet fun classes for college credit or enrichment…a summer filled with new friends and independence…a summer filled with the finest sports and recreational facilities at Penn State, thrilling outdoor adventures in Colorado and Vermont or amazing cultural opportunities in Paris…a summer filled with fun daytime activities and exciting nightlife…a summer filled with weekend travel excursions to visit other colleges, other towns or other ways of life…a summer filled with experienced staff who truly care about the needs of each individual student…a summer filled with hundreds of students from all over the globe living together on a campus that is “alive” and full of spirit. It is a summer that has “something for everyone!”.Summer Study Programs offers high school and middle school students the rare opportunity to “taste” college life while still in an organized and supervised environment. This “head start” eases the transition from high school to college and allows for the successful development of essential time management and study skills, self confidence and independence. By spending 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6½ weeks in a Summer Study program, students find the thought of going off to college far less threatening and, as a result, are able to eliminate much of the pre-college anxiety. The security and confidence built prior to freshman year will prove invaluable to the success of your entire college career.Academic programs are NOT all alike. Our mission is to offer all students “The Total Pre-Collegiate Experience.” To that end, our programs offer a wide variety of enrichment classes including The Kaplan SAT or ACT prep class, Speed Reading and other classes not generally offered in most high schools, daily sporting events and intensive sports clinics (tennis, golf, soccer, basketball & volleyball), exercise and workout areas, community service, dance, singing, rock band and crafts workshops, discussion groups, special events, evening activities and weekend trips.* Our ALL–INCLUSIVE concept means that everyone can participate and no one is left out.We dedicate our year-long efforts to making sure each Summer Study program is the best experience imaginable and pledge to continue providing the highest quality and most well supervised pre-college programs…a trademark of Summer Study Programs.
