DescriptionCamping has always been a favorite activity for Girl Scouts. Our earliest records show that girls camped soon after their first troop meetings. Resident camps began as early as 1917 here in the Nation's capital area, Camp Bradley was at the military camp Ft. Mead in Magnolia, MD. It was named after Gen. Bradley, who was quite helpful in getting permission for the use of the camp. Details
