Description

We are a friendly open community where everyone quickly feels like family. 262 campers is an ideal size; large enough to allow for a broad range of activity choices, yet small enough for individual attention in each activity and cabin group.

“A camp experience is something you can’t get anywhere else. It allows you to not just build skills like paddling and tennis, but you build life skills–how to get along with others and how to be independent and make decisions for yourself, that you never would have a chance to do at home or in a classroom setting.”

Falling Creek’s June session is a good choice for first time campers excited about all that camp has to offer. It’s also a logical next step for a boy who has attended one of our shorter sessions. The 20-day session offers a wide variety of activities and allows boys an opportunity to build self-confidence as they improve their skills. Campers live in cabin groups of seven or eight and choose their six favorite activities to make up their daily schedule. They also have an opportunity to participate in many out of camp trips including mountain biking, paddling, rock climbing, and backpacking.

Main Camp is Falling Creek’s premier session. Four weeks allows time for our camp community to bond and strong friendships to be formed. Campers experience personal growth as they build on successes each week. Longer trips are offered and opportunities for leadership are a central focus. The Counselor-in-Training program, Honor Council, and many traditions that take place the last week of the session are only offered during Main Camp. After attending one of the shorter sessions, most campers aspire to attend Main Camp.

Falling Creek’s August session is a well-rounded camp experience for less experienced campers. The activity schedule is similar to June camp with six daily activity periods, but with fewer out of camp trips. Boys enjoy a wide variety of activities and generally look forward to attending a longer session the following summer.

Falling Creek’s Junior Camp is a perfect introduction to camp for families looking for a shorter session. Helping boys have fun and build confidence away from home is the central focus of Junior Camp. Enrollment is limited to 168 campers (grades 1-3). Campers sample 12 traditional camp activities with their cabin group during the 6-day session. They also enjoy going on an overnight camping trip. The boys will hike with their counselors to one of our overnight camping spots on the Falling Creek property.

The Falling Creek Huck trip is a 9-day paddling adventure, open to a small number of boys ages 13 to 17 who want to experience some of the best whitewater in the southeast while focusing on safety, leadership, and skill improvement. There are certain skill requirements for boys who want to go on this trip. Learn more on the
