Description

The following is the description for the 2010 BadgerBOTS Robotics Summer Daycamp experience.  Please note that we anticipate the camp filling quickly.  Please register ASAP to ensure enrollment in the session of choice.

Campers should be entering the 4th to 8th grade in the fall of 2010.  No experience necessary.  Campers are encouraged to enroll with friends to increase their enjoyment of the camp experience and to promote continuing interest in robotics and perhaps participation in either our LEGO League or High School level programs.  Please put your friends names on your  application form!

The camp is designed to teach campers everything that they need to know about basic principles of design, programming, and the engineering process through the creation of LEGO robots to overcome mission challenges.  The mission based activities allow students of all ability levels and experience to learn new skills and build a genuine pride in their accomplishments.  The camp includes fieldtrips to the planetarium for robots in space and possibly other local sites.

The camp application form as well as our internal scholarship application are available online... see "Documents" button.

Parents, are you a deployed reserves or guard unit member, or been severely injured while deployed?  There is external scholarship support possible through "Our Military Kids".   Please click on the name to go to their website for details and applications.  Already accepted in the camp, apply anyway... if approved we can refund your personal check!

Worst day camp ever for my son. My son was focused on building and programming his robot with his partner, but the other campers were more focused on sabotaging robots, and even erasing fellow camper's computer programs. Main problem in my opinion was putting 4th graders in the same class as 8th graders.
