Description

We offer a detailed hands-on orientation into the world of rafts, rivers, and rapids, with this self-guided rafting adventure. The trip begins on a beautiful, calm stretch of the Snake River, which is teaming with elk, moose, bald eagles, and osprey. Here our professional boatmen and safety kayakers teach you about river gear, boat equipment, paddling techniques, rowing techniques, and river features while everyone gets the opportunity to guide the raft and have fun on the water.

After a leisurely lunch stop we get geared up for the whitewater! This is where every participant has the chance to use the skills and information he/she has learned thus far. Covering 16 miles of some of the most beautiful scenery in Jackson Hole, and the wildest whitewater in Wyoming, the entire trip lasts about five hours and includes a savory deli-style picnic lunch. Discounts available for large groups using our equipment or your own!

This is the ultimate Yellowstone kayaking trip. We begin on the eastern shore of Yellowstone Lake where we pack our kayaks with enough gear and supplies for eight days and seven nights in the wilderness. As you guide your kayak south along the untamed shore leaving civilization behind, you begin to settle in to a relaxed pace, allowing your mind and spirit to escape from the stresses of normal life.

Your trip leader will paddle with you 2 - 10 miles to a different backcountry campsite each day, with an occasional layover day, sharing his/her extensive knowledge of the area along the way. As we paddle from Sedge Bay, hugging the shore through the entire Southeast Arm of the lake, you will see lots of wildlife like Osprey and Bald Eagles or a moose, elk or bear at the water's edge. With numerous coves and inlets to explore, fascinating geology, excellent fishing, and superb hiking, your day will always be complete.
