Description

The Adirondack styling of timbers and stone sets the perfect stage for meetings of any kind, yet Lied Lodge & Conference Center is the only educational complex of its kind in the nation. With environmental programs that focus on trees, conservation, and environmental stewardship, Lied Lodge & Conference Center was designed to serve as a resource for the Arbor Day Foundation members, other conservation-related organizations, teachers, forestry professionals, and any other organization or company wishing to use a centrally located, high quality, and reasonably priced conference center.

A member of the International Association of Conference Centers, Lied Lodge & Conference center is a full service facility and offers 144 well-appointed guestrooms featuring work-study areas and data-ports, a fine dining restaurant, a cocktail lounge, an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and fitness center. Walking trails, jogging, and nearby golf are available for relaxation. The conference center features state of the art audio-visual equipment and service with teleconferencing capabilities, computer hookups, meeting rooms with individual HVAC controls, high fidelity audio systems, and in-house mechanical and electrical support.

Steinhart Lodge, adjacent to Lied Lodge & Conference Center, resides on a ridge overlooking the public swimming pool, baseball diamond, practice fields, picnic grounds and golf course of Steinhart and Wildwood Parks. Available for groups of up to 250 people, it is equipped with a full facility kitchen, cocktail lounge, audio-visual room and assembly area. It serves as an independent meeting and dining facility for smaller groups or as an exhibit area.

Lied Lodge & Conference Center has won the American Hotel & Motel Association's prestigious Enviro-Management Award for "developing a culture of integrating environmental management practices that improve everyday operations and the bottom line, while maintaining quality service and meeting guest expectations". According to the American Hotel and Motel Association, winners of the award must demonstrate success in one or more of the following areas: energy conservation, solid waste reduction, effluents and emissions, water conservation, purchasing and business issues.
