DescriptionThe Monarch Center is an organization dedicated to working with families and communities who are striving to deepen their relationships with each other and learn how to communicate more authentically in order to achieve genuine, productive and healthy contact between members. This can apply to a system such as a family with a troubled youth, a couple or in other groups such as workplace, school or small communities. At the Monarch Center, we offer an affordable teen therapy program while implementing the best in wilderness therapy, philosophy, and staff training. The Monarch Center is less expensive than our competition due in part to a smaller infrastructure than other wilderness programs run by large corporations. Additionally, it is our hope that more families who are seeking intervention can have access to programs such as ours. While the Monarch Center is considerably less expensive than comparative wilderness programs (Up to $50 less per day), our dedication to you and your family is unmatched, as is our ability to help your child get back on track. The Monarch Center does not work directly with insurance companies. We are a wilderness-based therapeutic program and not a medical facility. We use a family systems approach to working with adolescents who struggle with an array of behavioral issues including substance abuse, learning issues, attachment and trust, self-esteem, self-destructive behaviors, and poor communication. Our students do not benefit merely from a session of individual, group, or family psychotherapy, but from a complex culture in which various therapies are embedded. Accordingly, as a matter of policy, The Monarch Center bundles common costs shared by all students, and charges a daily tuition which incorporates clinical, education, administrative, and expeditionary costs.
