Description

The Mountain Institute empowers communities that call mountains home, and through our work with these dedicated people, we protect mountains for everyone. We know that mountains matter, but the world needs to know how much.

Mountains inspire us as places of deep spiritual renewal.  They provide mankind with its essential resources--clean air, water, biological diversity, foods, timber and minerals.  But powerful as they seem, they are equally vulnerable. As the most sensitive barometers of global climate change, mountains are telling us they need help.

Will you join us to protect the world’s mountains and keep them healthy for the sake of future generations and the planet?  No donation is too small.  Through our combined efforts, the Mountain Institute can turn every dollar you give into nine more that go directly to mountain conservation.

Every time you shop at any of 700+ online stores in the iGive network, a portion of the money you spend benefits The Mountain Institute. It's a free service, and you'll never pay more when you reach a store through iGive. In fact, smart shoppers will enjoy iGive's repository of coupons, free shipping deals, and sales. To get started, just create your free iGive account. And when you search the web, do it through iSearchiGive.com where each search means a penny (or more!) for our cause!
