Description
The New England School of Communications is a small school in Bangor, Maine. NESCom offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Students may choose from concentrations in Audio Engineering, Live Sound Technology, Video Production, WebMedia, Journalism, Marketing Communications, Radio Broadcasting and Sports Journalism. Students are given plenty of opportunities to learn and let their personalities shine through their work. While teachers give personal attention and current knowledge to students. Instructors at NESCom have extensive work experience or currently work in their field, providing students with up-to-date knowledge and skills. NESCom students have a passion to learn and creativity to succeed.
You could be the mixing engineer for a live concert?
You can and you will at NESCom. Students in Live Sound learn what they need to know to be successful in the growing world of live sound production.
You’ll learn stage wiring and electrical trouble shooting. Mike techniques for live sound, speaker systems and rigging, analog and digital front of house and monitor mix systems.
Students work on a variety of projects to hone their skills including live multi-track recording sessions, theater production, sporting events live internet and broadcast television and radio events.
