Madeira's GirlsFirst is a summer academic program for rising 7th to 11th grade girls based on the campus of The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia, not far from Washington, D.C.

Greetings from Madeira! It has been over 100 years since Lucy Madeira began engaging the minds and nurturing the confidence of young women. Miss Madeira believed it was both a duty and a privilege to help young women to understand their changing world and have the confidence to live lives of their own making, their own passions, their own dreams.
