This year's edition of the popular North Country summer program will run from Monday, August 9, to Thursday, August 12, with the North Country Coaches Clinic slated for Friday, August 13

          The camp is geared to providing specialized training for boys and girls ages 7 to 18 years old. With its multi-level format, the camp will meet the needs of all participants, whether beginners or the serious players looking to compete at the college level. Participants will be exposed to the fun and excitement of playing and training on short-sided, full field, and indoor facilities.

          Conditioning, technical and tactical exercises and skill development with opportunities to put it all together in game situations will be a highlight of the daily camp activities. Once again, an exclusive multi-level Goalie Training Format has been incorporated in the schedule. In addition to instruction, players will have time to relax with old friends and new, and take advantage of the University's many recreational facilities, including the Schuler Indoor Recreation Center.

         Clarkson Soccer Camp '99 will be run under the direction of some of the most knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and professional staff in the region. Combined, they have nearly a quarter-century of coaching experience.

          The Camp will also feature an exclusive college and select coaching staff to meet the needs of all camp participants. Jim Bunstone, Clarkson athletic trainer, will be on hand as well as members of the Clarkson Soccer teams and other support staff.

          This high-energy camp is offered at a special reduced rate of $190 this year. Registration is limited to the first 250 players. Teams or clubs who register with 11 or more players will receive a group discount. All participants will receive a complimentary camp T-shirt and water bottle. Lunches are provided free for all participants. A quality camp soccer ball is available for a very special price.

          The North Country Coaches Clinic is free for coaches who have teams participating in the regular camp. The teams are invited to participate as demonstrators at no cost.

          The Clarkson University Soccer Camp operates under the guidelines prescribed for summer youth camps by the New York State Health Code.
