Moved from Doylestown area and enrolled kids in the summer camp. Compared to Doylestown's summer camp (Camp Takoda), not too good. Counselors sour and unhappy, not very friendly. Activities kind of lame in comparison to Doylestown camp, where kids sang songs and always seemed very happy at pickup. Suspect counselors either of lower quality (maybe better ones hired by other private camps), poorly trained or unhappy due to poor management or bad experiences with parents. Have 4 kids and easily spent close to 2 K on camps at the YMCA throughout the summer but do not plan on signing them up next year, despite its relatively low cost. May try township camps, private camps orWayne/Main LIne Art Center.
