The Montana Tennis Academy, established in 1982, is perhaps Miami's oldest and most respected tennis training center, having developed more world-class and national and state-ranked players during the last 26 years than any other South Florida tennis institution.
What distinguishes our academy from the other training centers in the area?Certainly, the individualized philosophy and comprehensiveness of our programs is significant distinction from the standardized "methods" employed in some large academies; certainly the wide and varied expertise of our teaching staff is another distinction; and so is the friendly simulating ambience, setting and professionalism our facilities exude. But it is in the ever-constant application of our philosophy to give our little beginner junior players the same enthusiastic skillful teaching and concern we give our national champions, that truly sets us apart from the other tennis academies.
We believe that when your child learn tennis, this is what the game teaches: resourcefulness, initiative, creativity, self-esteem, self-confidence, discipline and courtesy. These are the very things that should be taught in academic and schooling but rarely are. These are some of the attributes we try to convey when teach.
At MTA there are few, if any, things to memorize; instead, there is much to learn. This is why many of our students remain with us for years and years. This is why we are now teaching the children, even the grand-children, of many of our previous students. This is why many long-term friendships have evolved thru the interchange of teaching and learning this wonderful lifetime game.
