Emily rides and trains full time, teaches part time and runs the barn with her hubby  Laurence Jean-Pierre. Now 26, Emily  has had a passion for horses from a young age, it all started  when she had her first ride on a horse when she was just 4 years old and ever since then she never stopped riding! For years she took lessons at a local barn in Quebec and would spend weekends riding at her aunts farm. At the age of 10 it was apparent this wasn't going to be a faze and she started working at her aunts stable. Over the years she then moved on to training and working at various local stables in the Ottawa area gaining great knowledge and experience from working as a trail guide, to exercising, breaking and training horses,  barn manager,  and instructor/freelance coach.

She has done everything from western pleasure, hunters, fox hunting and dressage but her main focus is in  eventing and she enjoys developing young horses. Emily is working hard and has been lucky to train under some great riders and coaches including; Per Meisner, Sandi Patterson, Jill Henselwood, David Wilding Davies just to name a few! She continues to ride and train on a full time basis,  she has a strong desire to succeed and trains under the tutelage and guidance of  FEI Course Designer, Level 3 Coach and former International Event Rider Paul Popiel.
