Southwestern University is located in historic Georgetown, Texas just 30 minutes north of Austin, the state capital. Austin is known for its vibrant culture, live music, theatre, film, and art - an "intellectual capital" and one of the country's best places to live.  We are excited to be able to bring you our new camp location at one of our most popular camps to Texas. We are excited to once again have Assistant Coach Jason Guthrie from Trinity University  directing this summer's camp in Texas.  Many programs around the nation would be envious of the Trinity University Tigers football team. Trinity has won 14 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference titles in the last 16 years. In addition, the Tigers have advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs in 10 of the last 12 seasons. This past season, the Tigers finished the year at 8-2.

 

Coach Guthrie just completed his eighth year on the Tiger coaching staff, after seven years of coaching at the high school level in Tennessee.  Guthrie spent three years as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Brentwood H.S.

Guthrie holds a B.S. in history from Kentucky Wesleyan University, and a Masters from TU in Education Leadership.  The Texas camp is known for its incredible staff of enthusiastic players, coaches and players who spend day and night with campers talking football, how it has affected their lives and what it can mean to each and ever player at camp.  We hope you will join us this summer and experience one of the truly outstanding football camps in the United States.
