Come to one of America's most prestigious and beautiful schools, Amherst College, the perfect location for a Nike Girls Basketball camp.  Amherst College is one of the original Nike Girls Basketball Camps and a long time favorite location for our campers.  Young female athletes of all ability levels will leave this five-day camp as more accomplished and self-confident athletes.  

The ambitious daily program takes place in Amherst's two gymnasiums featuring five regulation-sized courts. Campers keep on learning even off court, with special presentations and activities. Past guest speakers to the camp have included WNBA star and former Olympian Dawn Staley, former UCONN All-American Jen Rizzotti and Chantel Tremitiere of the WNBA. 

Returning as NIKE Camp Director is Bill McBride, Amherst's Assistant Athletic Director. Coach McBride has been at Amherst College for 17 years total, and for the previous 14 seasons Coach McBride served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach, gaining a reputation as one of New England's finest coaches.  During the 2000-2001 season, Coach McBride was named the 'NESCAC Coach of the Year,' after he lead his team to a school-record 23 wins.  Capping off that 2000-2001 season, Coach McBride was then selected the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association) Northeast District 1 Coach of Year sponsored by Russell Athletic Gear.  Coach McBride continues to be a well-known camp clinician and lecturer and noted for his ability to motivate young athletes.
