Description

In addition to the variety of traditional sports like baseball and basketball, Kanakuk offers a wide range of specialty activities from sailing to swimming to track and field. Camps include options for cheerleading and gymnastics training, cross country and weight lifting, and tennis and diving. For boys and girls ages 13-18, Kanakuk operates a special adventure camp on the Los Pinos River near Durango, CO. We also offer a golf-only camp for boys in Branson, MO.Kanakuk Kamps began in 1926 with a group of boys from Texas trekking to the Ozarks for 8 weeks of building character and stamina alongside great Christian role models. Since then Kanakuk has grown into 7 kids kamps and K-Kauai Family Kamp. Along the way we have found that character and stamina are timeless, great Christian role models are priceless and that boys, girls and families should share in the fun. Kanakuk promises to provide you with an “Exciting Adventure in Christian Athletics.” We see you as family, growing with us as we strive to provide the best in Christian camping. We dream of your family making memories with us for years to come.

I was in KK4B's in 1949 & 1950. We bought a new DeSoto 6 w/ std trans in 1950 replacing our venerable '40 Plymouth. "Petey" english was the best athlete in kamp but micky Suggs was also good athlete. I hated athletics, couldn't swim and no-body taught me how to use "V"-notch gunsights so my aim was lousy too. Centre the Blade in the Notch; B. just fills N. Tip of blade on straight line formed by l. & r. sides top of sight. Aimpoint resting on tip of blade. squeeze, bang, bullseye. TIP: Any riflery program worth the name wl B NRA associated.
