Pittmandu Football Club was founded by a group of Nepalese Pittsburghers who wanted to promote the game of football (soccer) while also promoting their native culture of Kathmandu and their adopted culture from Pittsburgh.
The name Pittmandu - a combination of Pittsburgh (Pitt) and Kathmandu (Mandu) -combines the sporting excellence of Pittsburgh and the rugged determination of the Nepalese people.
The football club seeks to live up to the ideals of competitive sport, sportsmanship and community service. The entire administrative and coaching staff is made up of volunteers, who are dedicated to promoting this great game as well as cultural appreciation and service to this great community.
