Description

stone Bridge Farm is one of the premier hunter, jumper and equitation farms in Southwest Virginia. The Farm offers spacious, modern and well-designed facilities, as well as highly-experienced, professional and caring trainers who have successfully brought along horses and riders to State, Zone and National titles. We provide conscientious and individualized horse management and training, and 24-hour on-site supervision. From beginners to those competing on the national "A" circuit, Stone Bridge Farm can help riders of all ages set and pursue their equestrian goals, in a fun, safe and supportive family atmosphere.

We are conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 81 and 64, 10 minutes south of Lexington, Virginia, and the Virginia Horse Center; and 30 minutes north of Roanoke.

Stone Bridge Farm is proud to host and coach the Roanoke College Riding Team and the Southern Virginia University Equestrian Club! The Farm also sponsors and coaches an Interscholastic Riding Team for middle and high school students. For more on riding opportunities with these teams, see the Collegiate and IEA links on this site.

Again This Year! Summer Internships for College Students! Stone Bridge Farm is excited to offer from 2-4 internships for college students considering careers in the horse industry! More information is available on the “Collegiate” page.

Congratulations to Stone Bridge's Interscholastic Equestrian Team!

Members of the Stone Bridge Middle School and High School Riding Teams qualified for the 2009 National IEA Finals, held in May at Lake Erie College in Ohio! High School Team member Grace Glover won the Varsity Open National Championship, helping her High School team to Reserve Champion overall! Middle School Team member Carly Williams won the Future Novice Reserve Championship. Carly and teammate Katie Fisher won 4th and 5th place in the Horsemanship competition, out of 200 entrants. Stone Bridge looks foward to a successful 2009-2010 season for both of its IEA teams!
