Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team finished the 2009-10 season with two student athletes ranked among the Top 20 in the ITA Southern Regional Rankings.



Freshman Audrey Wooland finished her first season with the Cajuns ranked 18th. Junior Julie Mazinova finished right behind in 19th place.



The duo is ranked amongst some of the top collegiate players hailing from schools such as Ole Miss, Auburn, Louisiana State, Tulane and Mississippi State.



"Audrey and Julie made huge strides through this past year," said UL head coach Tina Samara. "Julie had great wins at the No. 2 spot against Rice, Mississippi State, Denver and FIU.  Audrey did a great job coming in playing in the No.1 position as a freshman.  She had a very impressive year, especially in the second half.  I look forward to seeing what both of them do in this upcoming year.  I think we can expect to see some great things from both of them."



As a team, Louisiana was ranked in the Southern Region Top 10. The Cajuns finished the season at No. 9 and were the highest ranked Sun Belt school in the region.
