DescriptionAffiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Christikon is an outdoor ministry of congregations in southern Montana and northern Wyoming. Its program includes offerings for youth, for families and adults, and for developmentally disabled adults. Christikon is also a member of Lutheran Ministries of the Montana Synod; and as a not-for-profit organization, it may be considered for endowment gifts, bequests, and other planned gifts. Christikon is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association. Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this nationally-recognized program focuses on program quality and health and safety issues, and requires us to review every facet of our operation. Christikon has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal done by camp experts, and has earned this mark of distinction. Located in the Rocky Mountains of southern Montana, Christikon lies near the center of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, just north of Yellowstone National Park. It is the last developed place along the 22 mile gravel road at an elevation of 6,500 feet above sea level. The surrounding high county ranges from 9,000 to 11,000 feet.
