Looking for a full-day of Aces and Aquatics? These NEW full-day camps include tennis lessons in the morning, a supervised lunch followed by swimming lessons and supervised pool play time in the afternoon! So work up a sweat on the court in the morning and hit the pool to cool off in the afternoon. Participants will be transported from the UBC Tennis Centre to the UBC Aquatic Centre during lunch - 12:00pm-1:00pm - by the UBC Sport Camps staff.
The tennis portion of this camp will take place at the UBC Tennis Centre. Participants will take part in our innovative Mini-Tennis Program which focuses on athletic development and tennis fundamental including self rally, cooperative rally, volley and serve. Scaled down courts, nets, racquets, foam and low compression balls are used to optimize challenge while maximizing success.
The swim sessions will take place in the indoor and outdoor pools at the UBC Aquatic Centre. Swim lessons aim to teach children to improve their swim skills & strokes, to enjoy the water and to have a positive aquatic experience.
Children will spend the day, in a safe, supervised environment, having fun, playing sports and games, meeting new friends, and learning about water safety! Please bring appropriate attire (running shoes, a change of clothes, a bathing suit, and a towel) as well as snacks, a water bottle and a lunch each day.
