Description
Brookwood Camps is ideally located on 160 acres in the Tri-state region of New York State's Sullivan County. Brookwood's unique setting provides a perfect environment for physical and mental growth. The camp overlooks the majestic Lake Lochada, a natural four mile spring fed lake and is close to the Delaware River. It is located near the town of Glen Spey, New York and it is approximately two hours from New York City.
At Brookwood, it is our aim to provide your child with a summer of fun and friendship to last a lifetime. This is accomplished through an enriched and nurturing program that is dynamically structured and well supervised.
We are a comprehensive, traditional overnight camp with an emphasis on instruction in sports as one of our building blocks for learning. Brookwood's mature, adult staff focuses on individual needs as they weave your child's new found skills into team play. Inter and intra-camp athletics gives our campers the opportunity to apply these skills. We feel this personalized approach fosters self-confidence and character building.
Our well-rounded program also includes time to develop your child's artistic endeavors along with a wide choice of other non-athletic offerings. Whatever the activity, the consistent theme for our staff is to challenge the youngster's growing mind and body with creative and exciting teaching/coaching.
The daily schedule compliments our teaching philosophy by having built in options and selectives on top of the core activities. This allows for variety, frequencies and specialization. However, with all our organization and planning there is one thing we never lose sight of, that camp is for children- to have an incredible summer filled with laughter and friendships.
