Nestled on a beautiful and quiet campus in Western Pennsylvania, Wellspring Pennsylvania is the only scientifically based co-ed weight loss camp in the Northeast. Our highly motivated staff caters to boys and girls ages 11-18 for a fun-filled summer of new experiences, new friends and dramatic weight loss.
Wellspring Pennsylvania is not a traditional weight loss camp, diet camp or fat camp. Unlike large traditional weight loss camps in Pennsylvania and New York, Wellspring Pennsylvania gives campers unparalleled ways to lose weight and keep it off long-term. And with a limit of 50 campers per session, Wellspring Pennsylvania also provides a level of focus and personal attention that large traditional weight loss or diet camps cannot rival.
Attending a four, six or eight week session is a direct path to successful weight control and memories that will last a lifetime.
Wellspring Pennsylvania campers are boys and girls with common goals: lose weight, get in shape, and have fun. Our camp is ideally located for adventure activities such as rafting, hiking and biking, always with professional guides and experienced staff supporting all experience levels. We also have traditional camp activities, go swimming, do aerobics and yoga, and play sports like football, tennis, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. And much, much more.
Nutrition and culinary classes paired with delicious meals and snacks served in the spacious dining hall guarantee campers will learn to love a range of healthy new foods. These elements, combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) designed to improve campers weight controlling skills and motivation, help bring about lifestyle change for continued weight-loss after campers return home. 70% of campers maintain or continue weight loss after returning home. This is what distinguishes Wellspring Pennsylvania from diet camps and fat camps.
Our base at historic Washington & Jefferson College just Southwest of Pittsburgh provides Wellspring Pennsylvania with the use of excellent facilities and comfortable accommodation on campus. From here we venture out to many wonderful national and state parks, awesome rivers and great wide open spaces for adventure.
