Description

Camp Piankatank is a ministry to children and adults of all ages and backgrounds. Our site consists of approximately 90 natural acres of beauty located on the pristine Piankatank River in Hartfield, Virginia (just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay). We are owned and operated by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. Please note that individuals need not be a Baptist or a member of a church to attend camp.

Our goal is to give children a week unlike any other they'll experience all year long. We strive to create the most exciting experience possible where a child can learn about God, themselves, and others all in a safe and encouraging environment. It is truly the desire of Camp Piankatank that campers learn the simple, yet very important fact that God loves them and that God has a plan for their lives. Campers build character, and learn the value of a healthy self esteme throughout the week by participating in worship, Bible studies, the challenge course, nature education, field games, water sports, cabin activities, and so much more. Mature staff, clean facilities, modern equipment, creative programs, and attention to detail are all components of our success. Below is a brief explanation about how the components of summer camp life relate to the camper. We look forward to seeing you this summer.
