The Nike Tennis Camp at Salisbury University is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Only two hours from Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Wilmington, DE, Salisbury is an ideal Mid-Atlantic tennis camp choice.
The beautifully landscaped campus features 12 outdoor tennis courts and a newly renovated indoor tennis center. Campers stay two-per-room in air-conditioned dormitories. Special activities include a trip to the famous Ocean City Amusement Park, bowling, movies, and casino night.
Camp director, Randy Halfpap, is in his 11th year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Salisbury University. Halfpap has three times been named the “Capital Athletic Conference Coach of the Year,” winning the men’s award in 2001, and the women’s award in 2002 and 2003. In his second year at Salisbury, Halfpap led the women’s team to its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance, and in 2002 set a new women’s team record with a final 14-4 season finish.
Co-directing the camp is Doug Wright, head men's and women's tennis coach at University of Maryland, Eastern Shore for his 8th year.
Coach Halfpap carefully selects and trains his staff, which consists of teaching professionals and college players who are friendly, enthusiastic and committed to the tennis development and well being of each camper.
