The Camp Fire presence in Arizona was first felt in 1913, making it one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the state. Since that time, Camp Fire has evolved from a summer camp for girls to an organization that annually affects over 10,000 boys and girls from all social and economic levels. Our programs and camps celebrate diversity. Camp Wamatochick, located in beautiful Prescott, AZ, is Camp Fire’s resident camp, abundant in tradition but not without innovation. For over 80 years, Camp Wamatochick has celebrated the camping experience with an unparalleled sense of community.
Camp Fire is equally proud of our latest undertaking, an exceptional tutoring program that pairs highly qualified tutors with K-12 students at fifteen under-resourced schools across the Valley. In one-on-one and small group environments, students are provided the math, language, and reading skills to succeed.Additional Camp Fire programs, including our youth and family club programs, operate in underserved communities throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
