At Echo Lake, the program is fast-paced, diverse and designed to keep our campers stimulated well into their teens! At Echo Lake, a camper can find him or herself rock climbing in the Adirondack “High Peaks” region, writing and recording original music, receiving expert tennis instruction on one of our well-maintained hard top courts, crossing the wake on one ski on picturesque Loon Lake, competing in a soccer tournament, or creating a ceramic water fountain in our Brand New Fine Arts Center. And that is just to name but a few of the amazing opportunities awaiting you at Echo Lake.
Our emphasis on program is to provide excellent, hands-on instruction, provide meaningful opportunities for campers to challenge themselves, whether on the ball field, on the stage, in the water, or on a mountain, and offer programs for teenagers that keep them coming back until they are 16!
In the Junior Camp (campers entering 3rd, 4th and 5th grades), the emphasis is on group activities, and campers select one elective during the afternoon. In the Inter Camp (campers entering 6th and 7th grades), we offer a mix of group activities and electives, with campers selecting up to two electives each day. In the Senior Village (campers entering 8th and 9th grade), the program is almost entirely elective.
Campers entering 10th grade participate in the 4n4 Program, in which they spend the middle four weeks of camp out west – in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California! And our 11th graders return to be Leaders-In-Training! The terrific thing for parents is that you won’t have to search for new programs when your child turns 12 or 13—we have them here at Echo Lake!
The Echo Lake program consists of four components—Athletics, Creative Arts, Trek/Outdoor Adventure and Watersports.
