Description

The Ranch... Circle C Youth Ranch is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake, Inc.  The camp office is located at 5801 SW 120 Avenue in Building 2000.  The telephone number for the office is 305-274-3380.  The office hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mondays and 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesdays-Fridays.

Circle C Youth Ranch is located in southwest Dade County in an area commonly known as "horse country".  Campers enjoy an "at home/away from home" camping experience in the outdoors.  This superior program is provided at a nominal cost.

Campers are taught the Bible daily, from a Biblical and not a denominational view.  The camper's rightful relationship to God, Christian morals, character, proper conduct, honesty, courtesy, patriotism, right thinking, fair play, and strong bodies are together our ultimate goal.

Registration... The $20.00 RESERVATION FEE for each week reserved must accompany the Registration Form. Our camp fee is $135.00 per week, which includes a $20.00 reservation fee that is not refundable or transferable.

Tuition... All tuition must be paid in advance (two weeks prior to the date your child reports to camp).

Reservation fees are not refundable or transferable.

The tuition is for ages 3-14 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  This includes insurance, lunch, and all activities.  There is no discount for a partial day, week, or for more than one child.  The day's program is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  There is no additional fee before       8:00 AM or after 4:00 PM.  If children are not picked up by 6:00 PM there is an extra charge of $3.00 for every 15 minutes (applicable to all ages).

Boys and girls ages 3-6 that are dropped off from 7:00 to 8:00 AM are to come through the U-shaped driveway and brought to the playroom.  Boys and girls ages 7-14 that are dropped off from 7:00 to 8:00 AM are to come down the long driveway and meet under the pavilion in front of Building 2000.  Any camper dropped off after 8:00 AM must be taken by the parent directly to the group at their designated activity.

Campers ride horses Mon./Wed. or Tue. /Thurs. at their own risk (weather permitting).  The Equine Activity Sponsor Release and "Waiver of Liability" signed and notarized by the parents is required by Circle C Youth Ranch before campers are permitted to ride.  (Please see reverse side of Registration Card.)

Conduct and Discipline... Circle C Youth Ranch reserves the right to refuse enrollment and to dismiss or request the withdrawal of any camper whose conduct or character, in the opinion of the director, is considered a harmful influence to other campers.  When such becomes necessary there is no refund on registration fees or tuition.  Attendance at Circle C Youth Ranch is a privilege, NOT a right.  Campers will be responsible for the replacing of broken windows or abusive destruction of property.  We do not tolerate the use of foul language or any form of tobacco or drugs.  Campers bringing tobacco or drugs to camp or caught smoking while at camp will be sent home.  Wheelies, comic books, playing cards, Pokemon Cards, dice, Game Boys, or any type of electronic games are not permitted.  Do not bring expensive watches, jewelry, radios, CD players, ipods, etc. to camp.  We cannot be responsible for these things.  If a camper's behavior is such that he or she is uncontrollable by the counselor in charge, the camp reserves the right to use whatever discipline necessary to gain and have the camper's respect (i.e. "time out", not being permitted to participate in a special activity, a call to the parents).

Dress Code... Strictly enforced. Please identify all clothing and towels with child's name.  The camp reserves the right to make any change in its policy or dress code without notice.

Canteen...Campers will have canteen privileges mid-morning and afternoon.  During canteen time campers may purchase soft drinks, candy, snacks and ice cream.  The cost of these items is NOT included in the tuition.  Circle C Youth Ranch T-shirts ($7) are also available for purchase in the canteen.

Swimming...Girls MUST wear a modest one-piece bathing suit and bring a swimming cap. Rubber caps are available in the canteen for $3. TWO-PIECE BATHING SUITS ARE PROHIBITED.   Boys MUST wear bathing suits, no cut-offs are allowed unless they are hemmed.  Please identify your child's bathing suit with their name.  Weather permitting.

Locker...Each camper (ages 7-14) is provided a locker.  This affords minimum security for personal belongings.  It is the child's responsibility to provide his/her padlocks to secure their personal belongings.  For your convenience, locks with a key may be purchased in the canteen for $5.

Boating...Campers are taken on a boat ride on the Snapper Creek canal that runs alongside our property.  Each camper is provided a life jacket.  Weather permitting.
