Description

Welcome to The Samuel Field Y - a not-for-profit organization created and maintained in the tradition of community service - stretching out a helping hand to all of our neighbors, regardless of race, religion or economic circumstances.  For over 50 years, the Samuel Field Y has been a strong, vital presence within the communities of Northeast Queens and Western Nassau County providing high quality programs and services for people of all ages and stages of life.  Our multi-faceted agency has two main locations, in Little Neck and in Bay Terrace, as well as 17 off-site locations.

The diverse array of outstanding programs offered by the Samuel Field Y include camping, educational and recreational activities and resources, mental health, Jewish culture, as well as services that support individuals with disabilities and families beset by difficult life challenges. For the young, we offer nursery school, full day childcare, after-school programs, summer day camp and sleep-away camp, special services for children with developmental disabilities and a long list of dynamic teen programs. For senior citizens, the Samuel Field Y provides a transportation network, trips, lectures, classes and concerts, a geriatric mental health clinic and one of the area’s most extensive programs for people with Alzheimer’s and their families. For our wider community, we offer celebrations throughout the year including a Fall Festival, Chanukah Celebration, Purim Carnival and Family Fun Days.

Our Board of Directors and our dedicated staff are committed to the Samuel Field Y tradition of strengthening and building our community. Our doors are always open wide, and we encourage each of you to visit and learn more about us.
