In 1945 one-quarter mile of beautiful beach front property in Angola, New York, along with 75 acres of woodlands, cabins, picnic areas, and grounds were purchased from the Y.M.C.A. by the Western New York Lutheran Laymen's League. This treasure became known to all of us as Camp Pioneer.."a warm place in the Son".

Pioneer is repositioning our resources to offer expanded family camping and retreat opportunities. Family camping will include: Intergenerational families, Single parent families, Alumni families, Pastor’s and their families, Christian and pre-Christian families. Summer programs include week and weekend programs as well as special interests such as servant events and music week
