Wings, Inc. started in 1974 and was located in Garden City, Idaho in a 1,600 square foot space. By 1980, it had outgrown that space and in 1981 Wings moved near the site of where the Boise Towne Square Mall is today. In 1986 the company relocated to its present location just off the freeway near Cole and Overland Roads.

The business originally opened solely as a gymnastics school, but during the 1990’s it evolved into a Sports Instruction, Entertainment and Education center. Wings Center began with 16 gymnasts and has grown to over 3,000+ weekly customer visits.

Sports instruction classes feature Preschool Motor Education, Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Swimming. Educational Preschool, full-day Child Care, Afterschool and Day Camp programs are available year around. Entertainment offerings include Planet Kid (indoor soft play), the Boise Rock Gym for indoor climbing and team building, and hosting various group events throughout the year. Wings also hosts many special events such as Clinics, Competitions, Seminars, Parent Night Out, New Years' Eve Overnighter, and Student Recitals. Wings maintains a vehicle fleet to transport  children to and from childcare centers and private schools for classes, as well as for its own Before & Afterschool and Daycamp programs. This dynamic growth has been due to excellent staff, outstanding curriculum development, re-investment in facilities and equipment, and most of all, careful attention to the progress of each individual!

The Wings Center has become a national model for full-service Children's Learning and Opportunity Centers and has been widely emulated across the United States. Wings also operates a gymnastics program at the Nampa Recreation Center. Plans for the future include expanding all programs on nearby real estate and also to continue community partnerships in our various activity programs.
