Description

Hargrave Military Academy is a college preparatory secondary Boy’s military boarding school that espouses Christian values. The Academy provides a safe learning environment, and the daily structure provides a higher level of accountability and responsibility that is not present today. This basic concept enables young men to maximize their full potential. A Hargrave student is held to a much higher standard.

Hargrave’s program not only equips students to excel in the classroom, but positions for college acceptance, and further success in their higher education endeavors. We have had a 99% college acceptance rate over the last eight years and recent studies show an 83% college retention rate. Hargrave graduates have also received millions of dollars in scholarships. As college preparatory military schools go, Hargrave is the Premier Military School!

“Mens Sana In Corpore Sano” is Hargrave’s motto. It means “Strong in Mind” and “Strong in Body.” This is the basic tenet of the development of the whole person. Here at Hargrave we help a cadet grow, academically, athletically, and spiritually – mind, body, and soul.

For 100 years, Hargrave has been at the forefront in the development of young men into principled leaders proud to be the best they possibly could be. While our campus has grown and the classroom evolved, the caring and firm desire to see young men become better than they ever imagined remains our focal point.

Hargrave also provides qualified families with financial aid and scholarships. Find out more about our program at Financial Aid and Scholarships.
