Description

This facility is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. The property is overseen by the Management Board which is an appointed body from the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. It is their Camp Philosophy to provide an opportunity for participants of all ages to respond to Jesus Christ and His Good News through a concentrated experience of growth in Christian Community, through living and learning in a variety of out door settings, leading to an enrichment also of the participant's home community

Camp Mush-A-Mush facilities include eleven cabins that sleep 6 to 12 with a mattress for every bed, and can sleep a total of 127 people. Cabins are mostly unheated, but are cozy during the camping season. There are also heated facilities that are able to accommodate 30 people. There are several water and electrical equipped trailer sites available as well. The heated wing area off of the dinning hall (which is wheel chair accessible) has room to sleep 6 along with a medical room which contains a fridge, sink, and two beds. The wing area has a wheel chair accessible heated washroom and shower as well

The Camp has a very well equipped kitchen with walk in fridge, two large freezers, large warmer for Buffet Style service, large commercial propane stove/oven, bakery size mixer, commercial toaster, commercial dishwasher and a washer / dryer is also available. The rustic dinning hall, yet spacious, offers the warmth and beauty of a large stone fireplace that seats up to 100 people.

The camp facilities are further enhanced by a large beach area, two water slides, large sports field (Baseball, Volley Ball) all surrounded by a large natural wooded recreational forest area. The waterfront has a large cove which makes the area a good place for canoes that are available for a daily rental fee. There are two large fire pits, one located near the water front and the other located at the end of the field by two of the cabins and a large craft shelter which also houses a built in fire place. The camp has full washroom facilities which include: Men's with 3 Toilets: 2 Urinals: 3 Sinks: 3 Showers, and Women's include: 4 Toilets: 3 Sinks: 4 Showers. As mentioned before there is one Wheel Chair accessible Handi-Cap Washroom and Shower directly off the dinning hall.

Three Cabins are within a few seconds walking distance of the dinning hall and main washrooms and shower area. the remaining 6 cabins are approximately less than a one minute walk from the dinning hall on a good road. The facility must truly be seen to be appreciated, this is but a brief description of an area that has a camp like setting with modern conveniences.
