DescriptionNavajo OSERS is a program within the Division of DINE’ Education, which offers vocational rehabilitation to people with disabilities. Vocational Rehabilitation includes an array of services, which are funded by a grant to the Navajo Nation from the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of vocational rehabilitation is to assist people with disabilities to obtain or maintain employment. The purpose of the Trust Fund is to expand and improve services for Navajo people with disabilities residing on the Navajo Nation. This includes independent living (IL) services that are not provided under the vocational rehabilitation program. It also includes grants to community and tribal programs to expand employment and IL opportunities. The Trust Fund Rules and Regulations further designated the Division of Dine Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services (OSERS) to administer the Trust Funds in consultation with the NNACH.
