In 1988, Nancy Van Scoyoc had a different vision for the site. In the same wooded corner of the earth, she created the Outdoor Education Center (OEC). The first year her staff brought 12 teenage boys from homeless shelters for an intensive three week wilderness camp. It was a tremendous success for everyone involved. The next year they added a camp session for girls.



The clients we serve range in age from 5^th grade up to adults (“big kids”) as well as all types of client groups. For example, youth, families, community organizations as well as corporations, universities and school groups have all benefited from our programs. We serve anyone interested in serving themselves and their community.



We provide a 1-day program, overnights, a 2-night stay and up to a week of programming depending on your needs.
