Year after year, new faces arrive at the Duncan M. Gray Camp and Conference Center, and for many the new experience is one that has left a profound mark on their lives. Whether the first experience was at the age of five or 55, these unique, unexplainable feelings that accompany our time on the Gray Center property continue to linger. Using this understanding of being able to share a feeling without being able to explain it, individuals with a deep devotion to the Gray Center and a common thread of Camp Bratton-Green in their lives, created what is now officially known as the Camp Bratton-Green Alumni Association.
Founded in 2008, the purpose of the Alumni Association, as stated in its bylaws, is “to provide continuing and organized support for the Camp, as well as the conference center, which has so deeply touched all of our lives, and to provide for the Camp and conference center, in such a way as to ensure its future…” For the past year it has carried out its mission by being a primary support group for the work weekends, organizing a gathering on New Year’s Eve, and developing a database of members.
