Description
Camp Ozark is a uniquely wonderful experience! It's more fun than you can shake a stick at...It's a place where kids learn to live with others and where a child can develop self confidence and independence...It's a place where each child can become closer to God as they learn about His love for us...and it's a place where honesty, effort and enthusiasm are more important than winning or losing.
Ask any child and they are sure to tell you that, above all, they go to camp to have fun! It's just that simple. And at Camp Ozark, fun is one of the many things that we feel we do better than anyone. Our daily program, which features over 70 different Activities in a variety of areas, our famed Tribal Competition, our unbeatable, unbelievable Special Events, and our upbeat and inspirational Lifeline services, is designed so kids will have an absolute, total blast!
And speaking of "total blast," the Camp Ozark program also features Mish Mash! Mish Mash, the camper's favorite time of the day, is when the campers to do any camp activity they want. Campers can ride horses, work on craft project, ride the waterslide, jump on the Blob, practice their tennis skills, fish in the fishing pond, challenge our Ropes Course, shoot hoops with their friends...the options are practically unlimited! As our Mish Mash song says, they're "free, to do what they want, any ole' time!" Yes, our daily program, including Mish Mash, ensures our campers have a total blast. After all, to the child, that is what summer camp is all about.
However, Camp Ozark isn't simply about fun. A big part of what makes Camp Ozark so special is our commitment to providing a summer camp experience which positively impacts the lives of campers. To accomplish this, we have created an approach that we call Values Based Camping. Values Based Camping, which influences all that we do at Camp Ozark, means that we want to help our campers:
