Red Oak, a not-for-profit private camp, is proud of its mission to develop children's inner strengths through outdoor adventure. It started in 1947 with a small group of boys who worked and played at Red Barn near the Holden Arboretum under the Direction of Frank Dimpsey. With the help of property acquisitions by Warren J. Corning, Red Oak started in 1952 as an overmight camp for older boys who graduated from the Red Barn program. And then, in 1957 under the Direction of Allison Corning Jones, Chincapin joined the Red Oak family of camps. In 1959, Ken Roskos was named Executive Director of all three camps, and for 43 years he and his wife Gerry worked very hard to create a culture of fun, learning, and safety for the campers and staff. ...

Combining fun, exciting summer camp experiences with enriched educational activities for children ages 2 ," 9. Let your child's imagination run wild with the exploration of a new career and a different sport each week. Art, music, Spanish, math and science are embedded in the weekly activities to prevent the dreaded summer slide ," as children forget 30% of what they have learned during the previous school year.

Each week a different sport is taught by Coach Kent Pfeister, who has over 30 years of experience coaching and teaching Physical Education and Health. The children also enjoy weekly swim or splash days.


Edu-Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.

Medina Youth Football Association (MYFA)is a member league of the Wadsworth Youth Football League (WYFL).
We are a non-profit organization, striving to provide the youth in our community with a positive and enjoyable experience in Football and Cheerleading. We teach each child the values of participating in sports, teach each participant the fundamentals of winning, while equally stressing how to act when they lose. Our mission is to teach each child the value of fair play, teamwork and competitiveness, both on and off the field.
We are guided by principles, policies, philosophies and rules of OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) which will help them understand sportsmanship, fitness, policies, procedures, philosophies and contests throughout their scholastic years.
The MYFA has approximately 300 members amongst our 20 teams of football, cheer and flag.
