Lone Star Leadership Academy camps are hands-on learning, leadership development camps for outstanding 4th-8th graders. Participants travel to Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio, or Houston/Galveston to develop leadership skills and experience what they are learning in school through visits to historically, politically, and environmentally significant sites. Career speakers introduce participants to a wide variety of future career possibilities. Texas educators facilitate leadership groups, simulations, and leadership activities. Eligible students maintain an 85 or higher average and receive an educator recommendation based on demonstrated leadership ability.
