Canadian Sunday School Mission was founded in 1927 by Rev J. Lloyd Hunter.  A US citizen and worker with the "American Sunday School Mission". With a continuing burden for the "Unreached" and an invitation to go up into Canada and contiue the work up there, Rev and Mrs Hunter gave themselves to Prayer asking God to guide them. No short story later God's calling and circumstances were such that they moved to Winnipeg MB in the Spring of 1927.

The Canadian Sunday School Mission was born. Out of a burden for lost souls, and a passion to share God's good news with all who would here, sunday schools would be started all over the province in an effort to partner with Churches in reaching out into the communities around them.

Over the years many of the tools have changed in reaching out to those who need the Message of Hope but the passion and the commitment to partner with the local church continue and ministries through camps, VBS, Church Palnting, and more are done from coast to coast under the banner of CSSM Minisitries (Formerly Canadian Sunday School Mission).

We are always open to hearing the call and passion that god is placing in the hearts and minds of others. We invite you to share your passion with us so that we might be encouraged, and may in turn be an encouragement to you. Maybe God would have you blend new tools into the fabric of how we reach out as CSSM Minsitries, and partner with His Church.
