Camp Wastahi was started in 1925 by the Santa Clara County Council of Camp Fire Girls. It continued to be managed by Camp Fire until 2002. The first site was located in Big Basin State Park at the Wastahi campground, back then the amenities consisted of tented platforms and propane stoves. Along the way sites have moved around the Bay Area and have included Pescadero, Watsonville, La Honda, and San Jose, Ca. The camp has also expanded to include boys as well as girls. In 2003 Wastahi found its current home, in Felton, Ca.
