Lekha Publishers is looking for books written by or for children and young adults. Submissions may come from writers of any age. Please send all manuscripts to submissions@lekhapublishers.com. Please note: Authors must pay for all of the associated publishing costs of the initial run of their manuscript, but we make every effort to help our authors profit from the sales of their books, through marketing, promotion and support. If an author’s book sells well, Lekha Publishers will cover the cost of any future printing runs, and the author will receive royalties from the book sales. Children are naturally curious and imaginative. It is this wonderful blend that makes them exceptionally creative. Unfortunately, they are not born with a good knowledge of grammar or writing mores. This comes only with age! On the other hand, creativity and the ability to write creatively dim with age, due to lack of practice and a belief that one needs to "fit in" with societal norms of behavior.

Society often curbs creativity in people. Even children as young as five can be affected. Just one mocking gesture by a friend or older sibling can make a child stop dreaming. Soon inhibitions arise, washing out all imagination. Even the stories and poems that are written in school fit into an expected model.

Lekha Publishers LLC. has developed a method to bring back imagination into daily life and writing. No thought process is wrong and there is no one right way to imagine. A cloud could be a paper to write on and a rock could be a meteor! At Lekha, a child can be a child.

Lekha School of Creative Writing is committed to developing a generation of children who think outside the book! We do this by teaching them to write creatively, using a blend of time tested and newly developed methods that stir one's imagination.
