Description

Year after year, the Trinity Challenge has proven to be an extraordinary summer camping experience for youth, ages 10-14. Unlike our adventure summer school programs, where academic credit can be earned, the Trinity Challenge focuses on outdoor and teambuilding activities and offers a basic tutorial approach for students needing assistance with reading comprehension and fluency. In a four-week session, students are eligible to earn up to five units for Physical Education (P.E.).

Adolescents who are lacking in confidence, may be testing some limits in the home, or demonstrating mild impulsive behavior may be well-suited for this individualized program. The Trinity Challenge provides an opportunity where young people can mature in a fun and challenging camp atmosphere.

The people that were in charge of caring for your children had little or no formal education or training. I really slipped when it came to this camp. The kids there were left with little supervision and bullies were allowed to rule in many cases. I was horrified to hear of the things that happened while my son was there. We listened to my son and another camper and my husband and I were reminded of The Lord of the Flies movie. He came back with less than half of the expense items in his bag. He said they were stolen by a couple of the boys and when he would say something about what was missing, no one cared. One kid would pee in some of the back packs of the boys he didn't like while on their so called "camping" trips. It was more like a barely supervised free for all for "really" problem teens.
