Cooking classes teach so many wonderful things. We learn cuisines of foreign places, ingredients we may not be familiar with, tips and tricks that save us time when we are preparing food for our family, or how to perfect a souffle for a dinner party.

Cooking classes for kids- that is, culinary classes designed specifically for children at their own level of development- are rich with skills, tools and knowledge that they will have with them for the rest of their lives.

Every day I go into the kitchen to teach kids how to cook, I encounter children of all ages eager to learn how to safely handle a knife, how to knead dough, or experience new tastes. Cooking and eating is both a wonder and a mystery for kids. We help them discover how it unfolds- knife skills, measurement, chemistry- all of it. From the tip of their knife to the tip of their tongue.
