DescriptionCamp B'nai Brith of Ottawa, founded in 1936, has been the summer home for tens of thousands of Jewish children ranging in age from 7 to 16. The original site for the camp was in Dunrobin, Ontario. In 1946, the beautifully forested land along the scenic shores of the Ottawa River, near Quyon, Quebec and just 50 kilometres from Ottawa, became our new home. Camp B'nai Brith of Ottawa is a not for profit corporation, and a registered charity under Canadian law. The Camp Director works with a Board of Directors composed of a group of dedicated men and women who bring with them a wealth of experience from different walks of life. Campers are grouped by age into 6 units - Juniors, A's, B's, Seniors, Pathfinders and C.l.T.'s (Counsellors in Training). Each unit is sufficiently small so that campers receive personalized attention from our highly trained and mature staff. Under the careful guidance of counsellors and specialty staff, campers have fun while building self-confidence and developing a sense of responsibility by doing things for themselves as well as for others. Our camp has gone through many changes over the years. Camp B'nai Brith now boasts an Olympic size pool, showers and toilet facilities in all the cabins, an indoor gymnasium and much more. Our large sandy beach leads to a fully equipped waterfront which encompasses a full range of water activities, including water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Details
