Whether you are looking for a special night out or you just love basketball, you are invited to Wright State Universitys 34rd annual Fairborn Night on Thursday, Feb. 11.

Join the Raiders as they celebrate the city of Fairborn with an evening of fun-filled events and a chance to see the Wright State team in action against the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. The annual celebration honors the Fairborn community and brings residents and students together at the Ervin J. Nutter Center for an evening of fun and goodwill. Admission to the game is only for Fairborn residents.

More than 125 children ages 8 through 18 participated in Wright State’s annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 22.

In greeting the children and their parents, President David Hopkins encouraged the youngsters to have fun. He said he hoped the activities for the day might “spark an interest” for what the youngsters want to do as they grow up and start to think of careers. “I hope you are dreaming about the future and realize the value of higher education to help you fulfill these dreams,” he said.

The activities included spending time with their parents and participating in sessions on such topics as creative painting, DNA profiling, everyday chemistry, bird watching, live television, creating a movie using digital pictures and visiting one of the most advanced visualization labs in the world.
