Oakville is a city of about 165,000 people. There are harbours, parks, shops, malls, outlet stores, libraries, cinemas, theatres, clubs, beaches, museums, galleries, sports facilities, cafés, bars and restaurants. There are the popular Waterfront Festival and Sound of Music Festival in June with other celebrations and festivals at different times of the year. This is a wonderful place to live and study English. Oakville is a lovely, safe area with a high standard of living. We are a small and friendly Language Centre situated a few minutes walk from the lake, parks, post office, banks, bars, cafés, fast food shops, stores and services. Oakville is about 30 minutes by car or 40 minutes by train from Toronto and an hour from Niagara Falls and the US border.

In addition, this region is a very safe city to live and study. According to Statistics Canada`s 2008 crime statistics annual report, the Halton Region continues to be the safest regional municipality in Canada and had the lowest crime rates in the Greater Toronto Area as well as across Canada!
