You will find Edward N. Cole Canoe Base nestled along the banks of the beautiful Rifle River in Ogemaw County, Michigan. This 1400 acre piece of wilderness is owned and operated by the Great Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America. For over 40 years, Cole Canoe Base has been one of the premier summer camping destinations for thousands of youth and adult leaders from around the United States.



Cole Canoe Base offers a multitude of programs, and program options in order to help insure that every unit is provided an excellent and fun filled program, which also fits the needs of their unit. Are you and your unit looking for a traditional summer camping program? The program staff of Cole Canoe Base offers over 50 merit badges during it’s week long summer camp program. In addition Cole Canoe Base offers nightly camp wide events, and daily program choices designed to let the scout no only choose his own activities, but provide limitless combinations of activities. For Summer Camping Season Cole Canoe Base saw a unit return rate of over 95%. The scouts just can’t get enough!!



Are you looking for exciting program options to help keep youth involved? Cole Canoe Base offers many unique programs outside of the merit badge program that have been designed for the varying age groups of your unit.
