Description

Since 1987, World Horizons International (WHI) has offered community service trips for teens. With locations in Costa Rica, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Iceland, Israel, Italy, England and domestic locations, WHI has been successful in establishing local contacts in our foreign locations allowing our participants to blend cultural immersion with hands on volunteer work for a rich and rewarding experience!

World Horizons' trips demonstrate how each individual can improve relationships around the globe by reaching across barriers of culture, language and geography to make the world a better place. While volunteering and doing community service, participants become close to the host community and enjoy an experience that most tourists will never know, and yet will have plenty of time for adventure and to explore their surroundings.

Reach new levels of understanding visiting communities around the globe while participating in a community service project. WHI participants discover themselves while volunteering internationally or domestically, running day camps for children; caring for mistreated animals; working with seniors; building and painting; working on environmental projects and assisting organizations that help handicapped individuals and much more. Established in 1987 by a former Peace Corps administrator, WHI has served students for over 20 years! World Horizons' travelers come from many countries, representing diverse ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Join participants from across the country and around the globe for an extraordinary, rewarding summer experience that will change your life. Every participant in a World Horizons program, no matter what their background, has something to contribute to help make this world a better place to live
